Can I really start for free?
Yes. Run unlimited giveaways and accept tips on the Starter tier forever — no credit card, no time limit. When you're ready for newsletter, storefront, or the full fan database, upgrade to Growth or Pro. Everything you've built carries over.
What happens to my giveaway entrants on the free tier?
They're saved. On Starter, you get winner contact info. All other entrants are stored in your fan database but you need Growth or Pro to access, export, or email them. Upgrade and they're instantly available — nothing is deleted.
What are YouTube Post Alerts?
When you upload a new YouTube video, Busker automatically emails your fan database with a link to watch. No algorithm deciding who sees it. Your fans get notified by email — which they actually open. This is a Pro-only feature and it's unique to Busker.
Why are tips and store fees handled differently?
Tips are gifts — it feels wrong to skim from them, so the fee is added on top for the fan instead. Store sales and subscriptions have a listed price that buyers see upfront, so the fee comes out of that price (like every other e-commerce platform). The rate is the same either way: 6% + $0.60 all-in, covering both Stripe processing and Busker's platform fee. Busker's share is roughly 3%.
Can I export my fan data?
Yes. On Growth and Pro, you can export your full fan database anytime — names, emails, subscription status, purchase history. It's your data. No lock-in.
Do I need a separate Stripe account?
No. Busker handles payments through Stripe Connect — you'll connect your bank account during setup and payouts go directly to you. No separate Stripe dashboard to manage.
